Hostel Skilltraining & Welfare Project For Girls

The Education Project of SEEP-India works towards educational development of Orphan, Semi orphan and Poor children. We identify, counsel children and enrol them in various Programs that address their Formal as well as Non-Formal Educational challeng-es. Towards these efforts, we engage with the community, counselling them on various key issues such as significance of Education, with support through Focus Groups; Educational Visits; Skill Appropriate Counselling, etc.

HEGE provides accomodation, food, education & health care for the female chil-dren from various villages of Guntur District . The children in the shelter home are or-phaned, semi orphaned and other vulnerable children who were exposed to child labour. If these children are left uncared by the community, there is more chance to discontinue their education.

Hence HEGE is committed for the well being of these destitute children estab-lished in the year 2014 with the support of donors. The main objectives of the home are providing protective care, quality food and health care to the underprivileged children.

Working since 2016, with fourty eight of children, within the age group of 09 to 16 years. The Hostel for Enabling of Girls Education (HEGE) Project (2016 – 17) cur-rently benefits around 48 children enrolled at Veldurthy Day-care Centre and Shelter.

They are cared and monitored by a staff of qualified professionals and Social Workers. They have access to quality Educational Support from Government school.
